Falls Last Hurrah

The transition from fall to winter happens quickly in Montana, so I was very thankful to get a few last paintings of the season with the great vibrant fall color. And now winter is here which is a truly beautiful time of year and fun to paint... as long as you bundle up.

'Couthouse Glow'  oil on canvas 11"x11" The Flathead County Courthouse is one of my favorite buildings in Kalispell, especially all lit up at night.

'Alpine Glow: Bigfork'  oil on canvas 5"x7" The snow capped Swans take on a stunning orange hue as the sun sets behind the opposing ranges.

'Christmas Arrangement'  oil on canvas 10"x14" I painted this still life on site at Flowers by Hansen during the 2016 Art Walk. I was fortunate to get to paint one of their beautiful custom seasonal arrangements.

'Golden Cottonwoods' oil on canvas 9"x12" The fall color provided wonderful color pops along the Middle Fork of the Flathead River.

'Winding Through the Color' oil on canvas 6"x8" As Ashley Creek winds its way towards Kalispell, it passed its way through some wonderful fall color.
'Breaking Through' oil on canvas 5"x7" The sun tried its best to break through a thick overcast sky.  For its efforts the clouds displayed a myriad of subtle grey hues which is very fun to depict.
'An Evening Out 2' oil on canvas 5"x11"

'West Valley gold' oil on canvas 5"x7"
