Greener

All manner of greens are present now in Northwest Montana.  From the vivid jade-like grasses to the emerald hillsides, all of which have been a joy to paint.

The red truck drove across the causeway spanning Echo Lake in the late afternoon with the Swans looming in the distance.  This is one of my larger plein air pieces I've been creating recently.

This rustic barn sits along Ashley creek on the fringes of development.  This old relic still stands firm.

Situated along the Flathead River, this farmstead contrasted nicely with the rich green grass.

The road meanders gently up to to Ashley Lake as the morning sun cast shadows on it.

The morning sun cast its light on this charming farmstead in the small town of Creston.
This is another one of my larger plein air pieces.

  1. Very nice Jeff. I really like your "workday" farm yard scene. We would be out painting here (Modoc Plein Air group), but it keeps raining! No one is complaining, the ground is wet again. It has been great for practicing painting big clouds.
